That is an interesting car, and probably won’t be easy to park in the underground garage.

Its called the Mohave there? EDIT: I guess its only called Borrego here in the US

This exists?

Mohave is a much better name. Borrego sounds like cussing in Spanish.

Yes, it came with a variety of engines and was quite good, but no-one bought it.

Not that Mohave sounds much cleaner...or that either name could save this ill timed, half-assed SUV.

Borrego is a baby sheep, even though it has nothing to do with the car as it is not small.
Mohave sounds much better as it’s similar to the desert’s name, where you expect to see these kind of cars.

It was the Borrego in the US. I think it was only sold here for a year or two around ‘09. Full body-on-frame SUV, close to a Tahoe in size - I’ve seen a few of them out there, but not many. As I recall, Kia seemed to think with everything going crossover there would be a market for something like this as a towing vehicle, but they were wrong and it was a total flop.

It was ill-timed, but not sure about the half-assed bit. It always seemed quite capable and well built, got great reviews also.

probably well built but the styling was no effort and it didn’t really do any one thing well.

Neither do 90% of modern SUVs apart from appear take up more space than necessary.

I actually quite like the styling, it looks clean. Probably only good at towing and double parking.

As if Landcruisers are the pinnacle of SUV design.

nope, but at least they know what they are and have specific talents.

Exactly, also why the hell was it not called Mohave in the single market where the Mojave is actually located.
EDIT: Borrego is also the name of a place in California

Which are mostly unnecessary outside of the bush

sure. Not sure where to go with this since I agree...or what you are trying to say.

I didn’t even know you could get one with a V8!

The Tau V8, won engine of the year for 2009 I think.

Should have bought the Fiat.

Not sure why he is attacking the Cruiser, it is the most capable and reliable thing. (That comes from a Range Rover owner and fanboy)

Part of me really wants one of these. Probably mostly for rarity than anything. I’d love to hear from someone who actually owns one. I try to get Doug Demuro to buy one, but no dice.
